OMG!!! MORE HARLEY!!!!!!!!!

Yeah ... so, after getting the present of a fun makeup design [link] from my friend Kate *sweetgreychaos, I was really eager to draw a Harley with that makeup, and an outfit design that I've been tossing around for a while. ^___^

ENJOY!

Oh ... and, since this is specifically a picture of Kate as Harley ... of course, she gets the sketch whenever I mail her the Harley shirt. Well ... assuming she wants the sketch, that is. 8D

I like the feminine touch on her outfit with the frill/sleeve poking out from under her top layer.
Now THAT I would wear. :XD: Glad to see you branching awaaaaay from the spandex!! You've seen a full length picture of me- you know that someone that hourglass shaped is not usually spandex-friendly. *laugh* It accentuates the fact that you have hips like whoa.

And I agree w/ the appreciation of the lace poking out at the cuffs- it gives it a nice touch to say "I'm sweet while I kill you." I love how simple and beautiful your shading is, too- especially in her upraised hand and down the sides of her legs. Subtle and perfect. ^__^

What material do you see this being made of? (Particularly that top! I love that line down the front- I know it's probably not a zipper, but it looked like it initially to me.)

It's SO fun- it's so amazing to log on and see this and the shirt (WHICH I'LL GET TO... Oooooh will I get to it. XD)! I particularly love how you turned the makeup scheme into an eye mask. Beautiful! I should've done that...

*GLOMP* And of course I want the sketch! If you're willing to part with it, that is. *puppy eyes* And you better sign it!

I'm very glad you like it!

AAAAACTUALLLY ... that line down the front IS a zipper. XDDD You know those leather jackets that are specifically made for motorcyclists; the ones with a button collar belt-thing? Well, that's what I imagined this being. If you look at the collar, just above the white poof things, you can see where I have the button collar. ^____^

I actually wanted the pants to be leather too, to answer your question of the material. The jacket, the pants, the boots, the gloves -- all leather. ^____^ Under the jacket, I would want a long-sleeve white shirt with frills for cuffs, and under that, a tight black shirt that would tuck into her pants. And I also imagine that the white poof thing around the collar would actually button to the collar all around it, except leaving that little space in front where the zipper would go.

I think it's a rather simple costume, but I like it; I think it still works nicely. And yes, I agree that it would work well with your Like-Whoa-Hips. XD

And, of course I'm willing to part with it. ^_________^ I mean, it IS a picture of you, after all. XD You know, I don't usually sign my things ... but, just for you, I will make sure it's on there. XP

The boots give it a niice touch. I just have a quick comment about the figure- I think the legs below the knees could be longer.

I'm in double agreement with this:
"And I agree w/ the appreciation of the lace poking out at the cuffs- it gives it a nice touch to say "I'm sweet while I kill you." I love how simple and beautiful your shading is, too- especially in her upraised hand and down the sides of her legs. Subtle and perfect. ^__^"

Yay! I'm glad it's a zipper- that's what it evoked initially anyway. In your second version of Harl it's more evident. Also yay. I like that the collar snaps, too. It's more realistic- reminds people that, hey, these folks have to actually PUT these things together, as well as ON. It's not just the spandex airbrushed perfection that the cartoons have slicked down their thighs.

Why don't you sign your work? o_o

Yayz! I'm glad you like how the design turned out. It was actually a bit of a collaborated idea through the shared brainstorming of me and my friend Stella :iconsansaii:.

Why do I not sign my work...? I guess ... it has to do with my disinterest in taking credit for anything.... I haven't thought on it enough to trace it back to any specific thing, or event in my life ... but, I find that I tend to feel selfish ... or, possibly arrogant in some way, if I take credit for something.... Again, I'm not too sure where the mindset came from, but it usually comes through when I do things for people. I like to do things to help people out, but avoid taking any credit for it. My reasoning behind it is that ... if something is done for someone, and they have a specific person to place their feelings of gratitude on, then it's solely on that person. However, if the person does not have one face to give their gratitude to ... then it ends up falling on everyone; the person could come out of the situation with a happier outlook on the rest of the world....

Sure, this may not always be the case ... and, honestly, it's not even the real reason why I dislike taking credit ... it's just a reason that makes me happy to go with....

I don't know ... I just ... feel bad for taking credit for things. If I take credit, I often will feel conceited, or selfish for doing so.... And, that feeling tends to ride over into several other things that I do, as well -- often times, things that I really shouldn't respond that way to ... like putting my signature on the sketches that I do.

I dislike winning things, I dislike being the center of attention for a particular thing that was done, I do not like taking the credit for things that I helped with, or sometimes even did completely on my own.... Even if there is not real reason for it ... I just tend to prefer to stay in the background. I prefer to do the things that I do, and leave it at that....

I think, the only time that I can override this particular feeling to take credit for something I did is when I do something for someone ... and I didn't get to hear their reaction to it ... so, I will ask, and from there, usually take credit so I can hear the more sincere opinion ... because, I think ... most everything I do is for the reaction. Doing something to see the smile on their face or acting a particular way to amuse someone....

Or, sometimes I will take credit for something if I know that the overall happiness provoked from the thing I did will be greater if credit is taken ... like adding my signature to the sketch I sent you. ^____^ Plus, in that case, it's not as though I could really avoid taking the credit. XP

I don't know ... I'm a weirdo.... Sorry. ^___________^;;;;;

Yeah ... I agree that the legs may have been better a little longer. But, then ... I kinda had to stick with it, since it was an actual sketch.... X_o

OH WELL! It looks nice regardless. Especially since the main reason for it was to show the costume design ... so, the figure isn't necessarily too important. ^___^

YAY!!!! I'm glad you like it, Stella. 8D

You're not a weirdo. Far from it. I think you just developed in a way that gives you the least...feelings of guilt, or self doubt. I hope, though- that at the very LEAST... you know how wonderful you are!
